After providing a great selection of pics earlier today, reader Herodian has sent us his thoughts and comments after walking through the set.
I’ve taken the liberty of paraphrasing and editing for clarity, but otherwise, I’ll let Herodian do the talking:
so it was only by chance i found it… The set entrance is technically in Upper Hale, Surrey but the land is owned by the military so falls under Aldershot.
[a member of staff said] i was free to go on foot. Which i did
…
First thing i saw was a truck and crane moving generators and lights onto another truck. Definitely packing up. Look left and I saw 4 Hydra tanks. One tank was open and had my mate come with me…we would have had a shimmy up and in
but i was on my own so no.
Saw something through the trees so i went off that way. Deconstruction of security tower from previous pics. Don’t be fooled, it was a wooden tower with scaffold frame and painted grey, not concrete. The magic of films!
[Another member of staff] said they were packing up. [He said production was heading] ‘back to the studio at Longcross’ (editor’s note – I imagine he means these ones). Longcross has been used for a number of films, most famously a stunt man died whilst filming Dark Knight there (editor’s note – read more about that here).
